Turquoise lake and Andean peaks along the Carretera Austral in Chilean Patagonia, a setting for executive retreats

Executive & Corporate Retreats in Chile

Private leadership retreats across Chile — from the Pacific coast to Patagonia, fully curated end to end.

Who we are

Chile Undiscovered is a Chilean travel company that designs private corporate and executive retreats across Chile and Patagonia, handling lodging, transfers, meals and activities end to end.

We plan each retreat around one question — what does your team need to leave with? From there we choose the place, the house and the rhythm of the days, and we stay with you on the ground from arrival to departure.

Why Chile

Why hold your executive retreat in Chile

Chile stretches from the driest desert on Earth to the glaciers of Patagonia, and most of it is quiet, open country. For a leadership team, that distance from the everyday is the point — and we take care of everything it takes to get there.

  1. 01

    Remote settings, no distractions

Our destinations sit far from city noise, and in some valleys far from phone signal too. Conversations go deeper when no one is half-watching their inbox.

  2. 02

    Private houses, not corporate hotels

We host teams in private homes and small lodges run by local families. You have the whole place to yourselves — the living room becomes your meeting room, the kitchen table your breakout space.

  3. 03

Our own logistics, end to end

Flights within Chile, private transfers, meals, guides and workspace set-up are handled by our own team. One contact, one plan, and someone with you on the ground the whole time.

  4. 04

    Activities built around your goals

A strategy offsite, a board meeting and a team reward need different days. We design the activities — a glacier trek, a long asado, a night under the stars — to support what you came to do.

Private stone and wood house in Zapallar on Chile's Pacific coast, a base for executive offsites near Santiago

Pacific Coast · Central Chile

Executive retreats in Zapallar

Zapallar is the easiest executive retreat in Chile to say yes to. A private house on the Pacific, about two hours by road from Santiago, gives a leadership team quiet mornings for strategy and long afternoons on the coast — with no domestic flights and no lost travel days.

Zapallar is a small coastal town in the Valparaíso Region, known for its pine-covered hills, quiet coves and a coastal path that runs north toward Cachagua. We base teams in a private house a short walk from the sea, surrounded by gardens and with room to turn the main living area into a working space. Because the drive from Santiago is short, a group can land in the morning and be in session by mid-afternoon.

That makes Zapallar our first suggestion for two to four day offsites, quarterly planning and board meetings, where time matters more than distance. Mornings are for work. Afternoons can be a walk along the coast, time on the water with local fishermen or an unhurried lunch of the day's catch. Evenings are long dinners at the house, cooked with what the coast brings in that week.

It also pairs well with a day in the Casablanca Valley vineyards, about an hour from Santiago, for teams who want to extend the trip.

Cerro Castillo peaks above native lenga forest on the Carretera Austral, Aysén, Chile

Aysén · Northern Patagonia

Corporate retreats on the Carretera Austral

The Carretera Austral is where a team goes to step fully away. Glaciers, turquoise rivers and old-growth forest surround the small family-run houses we work with in Aysén, and days pair focused morning sessions with kayaking, trekking and long home-cooked dinners — ideal for immersive retreats of four to six days.

The Carretera Austral is the road that runs through the Aysén Region of Chilean Patagonia, linking fjords, hanging glaciers, the jagged peaks of Cerro Castillo and the vast blue of Lago General Carrera. It is the part of Patagonia we know best, and the one with the fewest people. Most teams fly from Santiago to Balmaceda, the airport for Coyhaique, and continue with us by private transfer.

Here the retreat is shaped by the land. Distances are long and some roads are gravel, so we plan fewer moves and longer stays — usually one or two houses, with mornings set aside for work at a big table by the wood stove. In the afternoons the group kayaks on glacial water, walks through lenga forest or reaches the Marble Caves by boat. Our hosts are local families, and meals come from their kitchens: Patagonian lamb, river trout, bread straight from the oven.

This is the destination we recommend for team-building and for leadership groups resetting how they work together. Shared effort outdoors does a lot of the work for you.

Cuernos del Paine above Lake Pehoé in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile

Magallanes · Southern Patagonia

Executive retreats in Torres del Paine

Torres del Paine is the retreat your team will still talk about years later. Granite towers, glaciers and open pampa frame private heritage houses near Puerto Natales, which makes it a natural fit for incentive trips and milestone gatherings that should feel like a reward as much as a working session.

Torres del Paine National Park is Chile's best-known landscape — the Paine Massif, the Cuernos above Lake Pehoé, Grey Glacier and the wide steppe where guanacos graze. Rather than stay inside the park with the crowds, we host teams in restored early-1900s houses in Puerto Bories, on the Señoret Channel just outside Puerto Natales, with fireplaces, gardens and views across the water to the mountains. Groups fly from Santiago to Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas, and we take it from there.

Days alternate between sessions at the house and full days in the park, about an hour and a half away: a walk to a glacier viewpoint, a boat to the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers, a horseback ride across an estancia. We keep the pace realistic, because Patagonian weather changes fast and the wind can be strong. Evenings bring everyone back to the fire for a traditional asado.

We suggest Torres del Paine for incentive trips, annual leadership gatherings and any retreat where the setting itself is part of the message.

Osorno Volcano rising over Lake Llanquihue, seen from Puerto Octay in Chile's Lake District

Los Lagos · Southern Chile

Corporate retreats in the Lake District and Puerto Varas

Chile's Lake District balances work and the outdoors more easily than anywhere further south. Volcanic lakes, good roads and the services around Puerto Varas make it the practical choice for mid-sized groups who want straightforward logistics, reliable meeting space and soft adventure between sessions.

The Lake District centres on Lake Llanquihue, ringed by the towns of Puerto Varas and Frutillar and watched over by the cone of Osorno Volcano. A short flight from Santiago lands groups in Puerto Montt, and from there everything is close: the lake shore, Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park and the turquoise Petrohué Waterfalls. Of all our southern destinations, it has the most developed roads, restaurants and places to stay.

That infrastructure is what makes it work for larger teams. We can split a group between houses and still meet in one place every morning, then fill the afternoons with activities that suit mixed fitness levels — kayaking on a quiet bay, cycling past dairy farms, a boat across Lake Todos los Santos, a walk on the lower slopes of the volcano. The region's German-Chilean heritage shows up at the table too, alongside southern produce and fish from the lakes.

We recommend the Lake District for mid-sized groups and for retreats that want work and gentle adventure in equal measure.

Lodge lounge and heated pool at dusk near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Antofagasta · Northern Chile

Corporate retreats in the Atacama Desert

The Atacama Desert suits retreats built around vision and long-range strategy. Salt flats, geysers and some of the clearest night skies on Earth give a leadership team room to think, and a small lodge near San Pedro de Atacama keeps everyone together between sessions and evenings of astronomy.

In the far north of Chile, the Atacama is a high desert of salt flats, red canyons and volcanoes. Teams fly from Santiago to Calama and continue by private transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, a small adobe village that is the base for everything nearby: Valle de la Luna at sunset, the El Tatio geysers at dawn, the altiplanic lagoons framed by snow-capped volcanoes.

The scale of the landscape changes how people think, which is why we bring strategy and vision sessions here. We base groups in a small lodge outside the village, with shaded terraces for working and quiet corners for one-to-one conversations. Because San Pedro sits at high altitude, the first day is gentle and the programme builds from there. After dark the sky takes over, and an astronomy evening with a guide and telescopes becomes a natural place to talk about the long view.

We suggest the Atacama for vision and strategy retreats, leadership offsites at the start of a planning cycle and any group that wants a landscape completely unlike home.

How the days flow

Sample 4-day retreat agenda

Every agenda is written for your team, but most of our retreats follow the same rhythm: arrive and settle, work in the mornings, step outside in the afternoons, and close with clear next steps.

Lamb slow-roasting over an open fire for a traditional Patagonian asado dinner
  1. Day 1

    Arrival and welcome dinner

We meet the group at the airport and drive to the house. Time to settle in, a short walk to get your bearings, then a welcome dinner where we share the plan for the days ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Morning sessions, afternoon outdoors

Work sessions in the morning, in a room set up the way you need it. After lunch, a guided experience chosen for your goals — a trek, a boat trip, time on horseback.

  3. Day 3

    Deeper work, shared experience

A second morning of sessions, building on day two. The afternoon is the signature experience of the trip, followed by a long dinner cooked by our local hosts.

  4. Day 4

    Closing session and return

A final session to agree on decisions and owners while everything is fresh. Lunch together, then a private transfer back to the airport for your flight home.

The team

Who designs your retreat

We are a Chilean company, founded in 2025, built around a network of local hosts, guides and drivers across Patagonia and the rest of the country. We design every retreat ourselves and run it with our own team, so the people who plan your days are the people who meet you when you land.

We work in English from the first call to the last transfer, and we know the houses, roads and weather of each destination first-hand.

Questions

FAQ

Straight answers to the questions leadership teams ask us most. If yours is not here, ask us directly in the form below.

What is the best place in Chile for a corporate retreat?

It depends on what your team needs to achieve. Zapallar suits short offsites close to Santiago, the Carretera Austral suits immersive team-building, Torres del Paine works best for incentive trips, the Lake District for mid-sized groups and the Atacama for strategy and vision sessions. We help you choose on a first call.

Where can I host an executive retreat in Patagonia?

Our two Patagonian options are the Carretera Austral in the Aysén Region and Torres del Paine in Magallanes. On the Carretera Austral we use small family-run houses surrounded by glaciers and rivers; near Torres del Paine we host groups in restored heritage houses in Puerto Bories, just outside Puerto Natales.

What's a good leadership offsite location near Santiago, Chile?

Zapallar, on the Pacific coast about two hours by road from Santiago, is our first choice. A private house by the sea gives you a full working room, coastal walks and long dinners without domestic flights, which makes it practical for two to four day offsites and board meetings.

How many people can join a retreat?

Group size depends on the destination and the houses available on your dates, so tell us your numbers and we will confirm what works. For larger teams we can split the group between neighbouring houses and still meet in one place every day.

How much does a corporate retreat in Chile cost per person?

Every retreat is quoted per person, based on the destination, group size, number of nights and activities. Each proposal includes accommodation, meals, transfers, workspace and guided activities, so there are no surprises once you arrive.

How many days do you need for an executive retreat in Patagonia?

We recommend four to six days for the Carretera Austral, because travel inside Patagonia takes time and the region rewards a slower pace. That leaves room for a travel day on each end and several full days that combine morning sessions with time outdoors.

Is there reliable internet and a workspace in Patagonia?

Yes, we confirm a dedicated workspace and connectivity for every house before you commit. Several of the houses we work with in Patagonia have satellite internet, though some remote valleys have limited phone signal.

What's the best season for a corporate retreat in Patagonia?

Most teams travel to Patagonia between late spring and early autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, when days are long and roads, trails and boat trips operate fully. Weather can change quickly at any time of year, so we plan flexible days.

How do we get to the Carretera Austral?

Fly from Santiago to Balmaceda, the airport that serves Coyhaique, and continue by private ground transfer. We coordinate the domestic flights for the whole group and meet you at arrivals, so the journey from Santiago is one connected plan.

Is Chile a safe destination for a company retreat?

Yes. Chile is one of the most stable countries in South America, and the rural regions where we hold retreats are quiet, with strong local hospitality. Our team stays with your group throughout, handles every transfer and plans activities with experienced local guides.

Can you customize the agenda to our team's goals?

Yes, every agenda is written for your team. We start from your objectives, whether that is strategy, alignment, a board meeting or a reward, and then shape the session times, activities, meals and pace around them. You are welcome to bring your own facilitator.
