Designed at a relaxed pace, the journey combines scenic drives, gentle walks, wildlife observation, navigation, and estancia life, offering an immersive experience of the island’s landscapes and stories without intensive trekking.
All international and domestic flights to southern Patagonia route through Santiago. While this itinerary officially begins upon arrival in Punta Arenas, we are happy to assist with any pre-arrival logistics in Santiago, including private transfers, city tours, vineyard experiences, or overnight stays.

Description:
Private reception upon arrival at Punta Arenas Airport, followed by an immediate journey south toward Tierra del Fuego. Cross the legendary Strait of Magellan by ferry (30 mins), officially entering the island. Continue by land across vast steppe landscapes toward Estancia Caleta Josefina. Arrival in the afternoon, time to settle in, enjoy the surroundings, and experience your first evening in the Fuegian frontier.

Description:
A full day to experience life at Estancia Caleta Josefina, one of Tierra del Fuego’s historic sheep ranches. Enjoy gentle walks across the open steppe, coastal viewpoints, and time to learn about the region’s pioneering history and rural traditions. Depending on the season and daily operations, activities may include sheep shearing demonstrations, gentle horseback riding across the estancia, and insight into traditional sheep ranching practices. The day concludes with a traditional Patagonian asado, offering an authentic cultural experience in this remote frontier landscape.

Description:
Continue exploring Estancia Caleta Josefina and its surroundings through short walks, wildlife observation, and informal activities connected to daily rural life. Learn about sheep farming, early settlement, and the challenges of living at the edge of the continent.
During the day, visit a nearby King Penguin colony, one of the very few colonies of this species found outside the Antarctic continent. Observe these remarkable birds in their natural habitat, a rare wildlife experience in Tierra del Fuego. The day concludes with local cuisine and a slow, atmospheric evening immersed in the island’s culture.

Description:
Depart Caleta Josefina and begin a long but deeply scenic drive south, crossing the island’s changing landscapes. The route transitions from open steppe to lenga forests and lake country, offering panoramic views along the way. Arrival in the Caleta María / Lake Fagnano area, settling into scenic cabins surrounded by nature.

A full day dedicated to exploring Parry Fjord, one of Tierra del Fuego’s most remote and pristine fjords. This immersive experience showcases the raw and wild character of Tierra del Fuego, with constant opportunities for photography and quiet observation of an extraordinary natural environment. This remote road reveals increasingly wild and untouched scenery, offering a powerful sense of isolation and scale.
