Valle Francés cuts deep into the heart of the Paine massif, a dramatic alpine valley flanked by hanging glaciers and towering granite spires. The trail's midpoint viewpoint delivers a 360-degree panorama that many consider the single finest vista in the entire park.
Torres del Paine is the crown jewel of Chilean Patagonia, a landscape of granite towers, turquoise lakes and hanging glaciers threaded by some of the world's most celebrated trekking routes. Whether explored by day hike or multi-day trek, the park delivers scenery that defines Patagonia in the global imagination.
Set on the shores of the Última Esperanza Sound, Puerto Natales is Patagonia's gateway town — a relaxed base to rest after trekking, browse local crafts, and enjoy Patagonian lamb and fresh seafood at its waterfront restaurants before or after venturing into Torres del Paine.
Grey Glacier calves enormous icebergs of deep blue ice into Lake Grey, drifting slowly against a backdrop that stretches toward the vast Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Boat excursions bring visitors close to the glacier's face, offering a rare, up-close view of one of Patagonia's most powerful natural forces.

Before your journey into Patagonia begins, all international and domestic flights route through Santiago. While this itinerary officially starts upon your arrival in Balmaceda, we are happy to assist with any logistics or arrangements you may need in Santiago prior to Day 1.

Description:
Private reception at the airport and transfer to Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxed walk through the historic center and along the waterfront, with views over the Ăšltima Esperanza fjord. Time to settle in, review logistics for the trek, and adjust to the Patagonian rhythm before the adventure begins.

Description:
Morning transfer from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park, crossing open Patagonian steppe and lake country.
Begin the W Trek with a scenic hike toward Grey Glacier, following the shores of Lake Grey and passing hanging bridges with views over floating icebergs and the immense Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
A powerful introduction to the scale and raw beauty of Torres del Paine.

Full trekking day – Valle Francés

Description:
Cross Lake Pehoé by catamaran (if staying at Paine Grande) and continue on foot into the legendary French Valley.
Hike through lenga forests toward panoramic viewpoints overlooking hanging glaciers, granite spires, and avalanches cascading down the valley walls.
This is one of the most dramatic and visually rewarding days of the W Trek.

Hiking distance: ~13 km / 8 mi

Description:
A slightly shorter but stunning day, hiking along the turquoise waters of Lake Nordenskjöld, with constant views of the Cuernos del Paine rising sharply above the trail.
This section offers a perfect balance between effort and scenery, allowing time to enjoy the landscape and recover energy for the final day.‍

‍Sunrise or early-morning hike to Base Torres
Hiking distance: ~18 km / 11 mi (round trip)
Estimated hiking time: 7–8 hours
Description:
Early start for the highlight of the entire trek: the ascent to the Base of the Towers.
Hike through the Ascencio Valley, lenga forests, and a final rocky moraine leading to the iconic viewpoint beneath the three granite towers.
Time to enjoy the view, rest, and absorb one of Patagonia’s most legendary landscapes before descending.

Description:
Final easy hike out of the park, followed by a private transfer back to Puerto Natales.
