Pre-Arrival in Santiago (Optional / Not Included)

All international and domestic flights route through Santiago. While this itinerary officially begins upon arrival in Puerto Montt, we are happy to assist with any pre-arrival logistics in Santiago, including private transfers, city tours, vineyard experiences, or overnight stays.
These services are optional and arranged upon request.

Day 1 – Arrival in the Lake District & Puerto Varas Welcome

Arrival & lakefront orientation

Description:
Private reception at Puerto Montt Airport and transfer to Puerto Varas, set along the shores of Lake Llanquihue with sweeping views toward the perfect cone of Osorno Volcano and the more jagged silhouette of Calbuco. Time to settle in and take a relaxed walk along the lakefront promenade, past the town's characteristic shingled German-style houses and rose gardens that have earned it the nickname 'City of Roses'. A gentle first evening in Chile's Lake District.

Day 2 – Petrohué Waterfalls, Osorno Volcano & Lake Todos los Santos

Full-day national park, waterfalls, volcano viewpoint & boat navigation

Description:
A full day inside Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, Chile's oldest protected area. Begin at the Petrohué Waterfalls, where turquoise rapids thunder over dark volcanic rock with Osorno Volcano rising directly behind them. Continue to a mountainside viewpoint on the volcano's flanks for sweeping panoramas across Lake Llanquihue, then head deeper into the park for a boat crossing on Lake Todos los Santos, also known as Lago Esmeralda for its emerald-green water framed by dense native forest and the Andes.

Day 3 – Frutillar & the German Heritage of the Lake District

Village exploration, cultural heritage & lakeside leisure

Description:
Travel north along the shores of Lake Llanquihue to Frutillar, one of the region's most photogenic villages and the heart of its German-Chilean heritage. Walk the waterfront lined with colonial homes, visit the German Colonial Museum, and stop at the striking Teatro del Lago, a world-class concert hall built directly over the lake. Return to Puerto Varas in the afternoon for free time along the lakefront, cafés and boutiques — a relaxed final evening in the region.

Day 4 – Departure

Transfer & onward travel

Description:
Private transfer to Puerto Montt Airport for onward travel.
End of a compact but complete introduction to the Lake District, with volcanoes, turquoise waterfalls, an emerald-green lake and the region's iconic German heritage villages.
